‘Voice’, a Drama by Studio Dragon, Successfully Remade in Japan, also to be Remade in Thailand! Accomplished TV and VOD Sales in 56 Countries, including the USA, Hong Kong and Singapore

The highly popular drama series ‘Voice’ (produced by Studio Dragon and broadcast on OCN of CJ ENM) is receiving enthusiastic responses from viewers abroad. 

Broadcast for the first time in Korea in 2017, ‘Voice’ is a thriller that depicts the intense lives of members of the emergency call center, who solve violent crimes within the ‘golden time,’ or the golden hour. The members solve crimes and track down criminals, using the sounds they hear over the phone as their only clues. The story conveys a social message and was highly praised by the Korean viewers. It recently boasted the highest viewer rating among programs that aired at the same time on Korean cable TV channels and ended its third season successfully.

‘Voice’ is also receiving explosive responses in the overseas market. The Japanese remake, ‘Voice: Emergency Control Room 110’, was broadcast in mid-July and recorded a viewer rating of 12.6% for its first episode. This is a considerably high rating compared to the previous dramas launched in January (8.3%) and April (10.9%), aired at the same time of the day. Furthermore, Thailand’s national channel, ‘True4U’ has confirmed that it will remake this drama, and it is scheduled to be launched in November. Thailand’s popular actors Andrew Gregson and Khemanit Jamikorn have been cast for the lead roles, and the viewers are buzzing with anticipation.

The Broadcasting rights and VODs of the three seasons of ‘Voice’ have been sold in 56 countries around Asia, Europe, and North America, including Canada, France, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and many more. An increasing number of global viewers will be able to enjoy the drama.
