tvN's new series Flower of Evil revolves around a homicide detective whose husband, a man she’s loved for 14 years, turns out to be a serial killer. While investigating a murder, the evidence begins to reveal some familiar clues and she is forced to face an unsettling truth. The series is filled with suspense as a wife chases down her husband, and a husband tries to outrun his wife.
As the cracks deepen in the trust built between Hee-sung (played by Lee Joon Gi) and Ji-won (played by Moon Chae Won) over fourteen years, Ji-won must ultimately uncover a truth she doesn’t want to believe. Following Ji-won along this journey gives viewers a story filled with a suspense and excitement unlike previous thrillers. Making the series even more engaging is Hui-seong’s interaction with local news reporter Kim Mu-jin (played by Seo Hyun Woo). Mu-jin is the only one who knows Hui-seong’s secret, yet he chooses to ally with Hui-seong when necessary despite it.
A recent episode brought viewers one step closer to the truth when it was revealed that Hee-sung is actually Do Hyeon-su, and the real Hui-seong is someone else entirely. When a husband’s long-held secret begins to slowly unravel at the hands of his wife of fourteen years, how will things end?
